Maple Sugaring Month is going on now in New Hampshire until April 5th. The highlight is the 20th Annual Maple Weekend which will be March 28th and 29th. Sugar houses throughout the state will be open to the public, including the one at Longview Forest Products.
Conveniently, Longview Forest Products is two miles from the Inn, maybe three. Longview Forest maple syrup finds its way into about as many things as we can think of on our menus, including our Maple Margaritas. This means that if we suddenly run out of syrup, even in the middle of breakfast, master sugarers Bill or Carol Eva can be here with another gallon before we have to flip the pancakes. This is in fact what happens. We call and they are at the door. It’s like having a maple syrup faucet in one of the trees out back. Service doesn’t get better than what we get from Longview, nor does the syrup.
The Inn will mark the occasion with a special Maple Weekend Package: Stay two nights with us that weekend (March 27th – 29th) and you get 50% off the second night.
Both mornings you can enjoy our full, cooked-to-order breakfast – including steel cut oatmeal, the world’s best pancakes, french toast and North Country Apple Smoked bacon, each of which are better with maple syrup.
Longview Forest Product’s maple syrup, especially.
Come and enjoy.
