Forecasting the weather in New England is practically a sport among its citizenry. A colorful sidebar to the game is forecasting fall foliage.
A scientist at the University of New Hampshire’s Experimental Agricultural Station has jumped in early with an encouraging report based on the warm, wet conditions we’ve been experiencing throughout the summer. There were plenty of people willing to corroborate that theory around the coffee table this morning at the Hancock Market.
As with the weather, you never really know until it gets here. But, the betting has begun.
