Dining at the Hancock Inn

Each day in our restaurant starts with a full breakfast. Relax with your coffee in the Sitting Room, then join us in the Dining Room for a buffet of fresh home made breads and granola, plus fresh fruit and juice, followed by your choice of breakfast items - including bacon, homemade sausage and roast beef hash, broiled tomatoes, homemade baked beans, hash browns and, of course, eggs as you like them.

The Tavern opens for drinks at 5:00 p.m. Relax with your drinks in the Sitting Room or Garden Room while you wait for your dinner guests, visit with friends or other guests of the Inn, or read any of the numerous newspapers and magazines there for your information and entertainment.

Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m. The last seating is at 8:00 p.m. The menu changes seasonally in the Dining Room and the Tavern and celebrates the comforts of fine New England cuisine - roast beef, pan-roasted fish, steaks, seasonal vegetables and flavorful, rich braises such as our signature, Shaker Cranberry Pot Roast. In the Tavern enjoy favorites such as a hamburger with blue cheese and roasted shallots, fish and chips, mac and cheese, turkey club and chicken or shepherd's pie. 

On Sunday we host an Innkeepers' Supper from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. that features a single, home-cooked meal for a prix fixe amount of $15.00 per person (not including beverage, tax and gratuity). Join us for spaghetti and meatballs, roast loin of pork, grilled chicken under-a-brick, beef bourguignon, New England boiled dinner and other favorites that offer a comforting close to the weekend.
