George Washington didn’t sleep here, but he was inaugurated President in 1789 the same year The Hancock Inn opened for business. This year Valentine’s Day is Sunday of President’s Day Weekend. So, bring your valentine to New Hampshire’s oldest inn, the one that’s been in business as long as the Presidents, and treat each other to a special romantic get-a-way.
Package includes the three night stay, your choice of one cocktail each night from our classic cocktail menu (which includes the Washington Cocktail), dinner for two either Friday or Saturday*, featuring our Valentine specials menu, complimentary chocolate covered strawberries to enjoy in your room each night, plus one complimentary night of our Inn-room movie menu.
Package costs by room type are, Cozy Room – $499, Classic Room – $569, Superior Room -$669.

Stay two consecutive nights in a Deluxe or Superior room in February and enjoy a complimentary three-course dinner for two one of those nights (excludes beverage, tax and gratuity). As always, a night’s stay at the inn qualifies you for membership in our 1789 Club, earning you discounted rates on all future stays.

Stay and Croquet
Experience the game of croquet as we play it at the Hancock Inn - in teams of two, on a groomed, 100' x 70' pitch using championship equipment. Invite another couple to to come and play, spend the night and share the game's heroics over dinner in our fine-dining restaurant. Package includes a one night stay for each team in a queen bedroom, 30 minute croquet tutorial before the match, a celebratory Pimm's Cup following the contest in our tavern, and $50 credit towards the cost of dinner for the foursome. $458.00 Weekends. $338.00 Weekdays. Keene Country Club Golf Course
As a guest of the Hancock Inn you are invited to play the members-only Keene Country Club golf course, designed by Wayne Stiles in 1923. The 18-hole course (par 72 for men and women) measures 6455 yards, a slope of 130 with an index of 71.5 from the back tees. With its water, forest, hazards, bunkers and doglegs, the course provides an interesting challenge for every level of play. The Inn will be happy to reserve your tee time upon confirmation of your overnight reservation. Green fees $85.00.
